OpenAI announced their new GPT-5 model that unifies all its models under an umbrella model. This new model has an integrated router that prioritizes between models to generate responses based on user input. However, after receiving a lot of backlash from the community, the company announced that they will bring back the 4o model for Plus users.
OpenAI also released their two new open-source models, entering the race among small-scale models that can run on devices with less resources.
